Use of Fire Retardant Scaffold Netting

The use of fire retardant netting is required from 1 March 2027 and mandatory to be certified by accredited Certification body by 1 March 2028.

Accepted standards:

1. 1) British Standards (UK): BS 5867-2: 2008 (Type B);
   2) Japanese Industrial Standards (Japan): JIS L 1091: 1999 (Category 3 of Method A-1 or A-2, and Category 2 of Method D); or
   3) National Fire Protection Association (US): NFPA 701: 2023 (Test Method 2)

The available sizes for fire retardant scaffold netting are 1.8m by 20m and 4m by 50m.
